Our Staff

Pastor Ron Smith has been senior pastor at FBC-HDG since 1998.
He is a Maryland native, born in Abingdon, and before being called to seminary, he was a member of FBC-HDG. He served as pastor to several churches in Texas and Utah before God called him back to Havre de Grace.
His wife, Fern, was born in Chelsa, Massachusetts. They have two children, Tiffany and Ian.

Pastor Larry Booth has been the pastor of worship and youth at FBC-HDG since January 2003. He was born in Missouri. He was called to preach soon after accepting the Lord at the age of fourteen.While still in high school, he founded Sonlight Ministries, an outreach to high school student throughout the state of Missouri. After high school, he started full-time ministry. He attended Pastoral Training Institute and finished at Indiana Christian University. He has also worked with a ministry teams in the area of evangelism. He was licensed to preach in 1986 and ordained in 1988. Since he was 15, he has youth pastored in several churches around the country.
For a number of years, Larry traveled with a Christian band called "Common Heart," producing one album - "He's Coming Back." He has extensive production audio and studio engineering experience producing other Christian bands. He has written several worship songs and continues to write heartfelt worship songs for the local church. His new band locally is called "Fresh Fire"
Larry is married to Michelle - they work together as partners in the ministry. They have four children - Joey, Victoria, Joshua and Zachary. |
